Autumn.

Yesterday after church, we went on a nice little walk down by the river.  The leaves are incredible and I forgot how much I love the fall season.  I love the smell of fresh air and sound of crunching leaves under my feet.  Also...my hottie husband got a new haircut this weekend (thanks Liz!).  And I love it.

Homemade Oreo Cookies.

These cookies are seriously delicious.  They are one of our favorites.  And the best thing about them is you can make them in less than thirty minutes!  The soft chocolatey cookie with the creamy dreamy cream cheese frosting center is enough to make your husband go wild.  At least mine always does.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Ingredients for cookie:

1 box devil's food cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Mix ingredients well.  Roll into one inch balls and place onto greased cookie sheet.  Bake for 5-6 minutes.  Let cool.

Ingredients for frosting:

1/2 package cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1/8 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cream together in a kitchen aid or with a hand mixer.  Spread the frosting onto a cookie and place another cookie on top.  This should make about 12-15 cookies.  You can always double... or even triple the recipe!

Matt & Steph.

This lovely couple is Matt and Steph.  Steph is my good friend from high school.  We also went to the same college and attended the same ward during our freshman year (which is when she met Matt).  Matt and Steph have been married for over four years and have longed for the opportunity to become parents.  Infertility is a difficult struggle and I can't even imagine the heartache they must feel.  You can read more about their story HERE and DONATE if you'd like.  I can't wait to see this couple become parents, because I know they'll be great ones!
