My happy happy husband.

Daniel bought his very first surfboard on Saturday. He got it for a steal of a deal at a yard sale. I love yard sales. He couldn't wait to try it out so we went straight to the beach with some friends!
Aren't these little huts so cute? They had them all over the beach that we went to.
Meet the new member of our family...
Mrs. Green Surfboard.
(I have now been replaced.)
I have no nose. When I smile my cheeks push my sunglasses up.
Daniel got a bit torn up after this surfing trip. The surf board made his stomach and chest red and raw from rubbing against it the whole time. Also, he had just recently shaved his head so his scalp got completely fried, along with his entire face. Poor lobster. :(

I am stupid.

Yesterday I went to the grocery store. I bought this apple pear because they are delicious and amazing. (If you haven't tried one, you should.)
I couldn't find a price for it anywhere, so I just went ahead and put it in the cart. How much could a piece of fruit like this cost? Perhaps a few dollars at the most? That's what I thought too. It wasn't until I got home and checked the receipt that I discovered that I had spent SEVEN bucks on ONE piece of fruit. It cost $5.79/lb @ 1.19lbs. Ridiculous. When Daniel got home I showed him the receipt and he about had a heart attack, then he started laughing at me. We called customer service to see if we could take it back. We felt a little bit dumb asking them this, but the lady we talked to was nice and said that we could.
We are taking it back today.

Obsession #2.

Hi-Chews.
Officially our new favorite candy.
This candy is originally from Japan and can only be found at certain grocery stores. You can always find them at the Asian market though. The texture of this  candy is indescribable, but that is what makes it so good!
Ten packs of Hi-Chews gone in less than a week.
Thank you Costco.
The best flavor = Green Apple.
Friends and Family who are thinking about coming to visit us in Hawaii-
We promise to provide an endless supply of Hi-Chews when you come.

Obsessed.

Daniel and I have been playing this game every single day for the past several weeks. We are addicted. Thank you Brian and Lisa for introducing us to this awesome game.
Monopoly Deal is the greatest game EVER. Seriously.
I've never been a big fan of Monopoly, but this game is WAY better and it's fast pace (which is what I like about it).
It's only six bucks at Wal Mart.
Buy it. Buy it NOW.

The poor person's way of decorating.

This is what I have been up to lately.
Who knew that one dollar tissue paper could be so much fun.
Now our apartment looks slightly less boring.

Spear Fishing Part II.

We went to the most beautiful beach.
This one is definitely my favorite so far.
I also got in the water deeper than I ever have.
I'm making good progress!
The boys are rubbing "magic" leaves on their goggles to keep them from fogging up.
While the boys were out spear fishing, the girls had a photo shoot. We are dorks I know....
Then the boys came back with this...
FISH!
They even caught a crab!
Daniel was very extremely happy.
Later that evening we grilled the fish and ate them. YUM!

Into Town: Honolulu Adventures.

We live in a town that has one grocery store. There isn't much to choose from when it comes to groceries and places to get the essentials. It takes about an hour to drive into town to get to a mall, Costco, or Wal Mart. This is why we need a car ASAP.
Our super nice friends Alden and Ashley were so nice to think of us last Thursday. They invited us to go to Honolulu with them to run some errands.

On the way there we saw this.....
The Black Pearl!
They are totally filming the next Pirates here in Hawaii!
We couldn't get close enough to take very good pictures.
Aaaaaaargh....
Too bad we didn't see Johnny Depp.

There is a really awesome China Town in Honolulu. We couldn't help but stop and walk around.

This is what we saw there:
Fresh Seafood
Squid
Pig Heads...
and other body parts
Live Fish
Dead Fish
Crab
Vegetables
Lots of Bananas

And all sorts of fruit
Here's Ashley and Alden :)
We spent the rest of the day running all over town. We went to the mall for a little while so we could eat at this amazing mexican restaurant, then we went shopping at Wal mart, and Costco. We tried to catch the sunset at Waikiki beach.
This is the best picture I could get while driving by in the car. It was pretty awesome though.

Humuhumunukunukuapuaa.

Believe it or not, but that is the name of Hawaii's state fish. I still can't remember how to say it without reading it. It is illegal to kill them.

This is what they look like:
I took this picture with my awesome underwater camera as I was snorkeling in deep ocean water....
JK. I don't have an awesome underwater camera, although I wish I did. I stole this picture off the internet. And I haven't been in the water more than waist deep. I'm really trying to overcome my fear of water.

Our new friends Brian and Lisa took us spear fishing this past weekend!
I guess I should say...
Brian took Daniel spear fishing.
Lisa and I just pretended to spear fish.

See ya later boys!

Don't get eaten by a shark,
don't drown,
and most importantly...
don't spear any
Humuhumunukunukuapuaa's!

While the boys were out spear fishing, the girls decided to lay out in the warm sun and enjoy the ocean view.

The boys returned to shore with no fish. None.
Better luck next time!
